I am married to Debbie and we have two chidren, James 18 and Gabriella 17.

I moved to the area nearly 23 years ago when we got married, and we live just three doors from where Debbie was brought up.

Since the summer of 2009, I contemplated running to be a councillor. The reason for wanting to become a councillor, and for the development of a website, is I believe the residents and businesses in South Bermondsey have not been treated correctly by the local authority.

People I speak to in their homes and in The Blue tell me they cannot see any improvement to the services, or improvements to local communities wellbeing, but yet historically the rates keep going up. Some pensioners told me they cannot remember any improvements to South Bermondsey since they have lived here - and they were born here!
